Weekend Campout

Went camping with some old friends this weekend.
The crowds were crazy, didnt think I would surf , but after a Bloodymary sat.am slide out for a few insiders.
This is my 8'7'' Super Smoothie Liddle.
My buddy Doug shot these, I think he sent them to me low res, so I thought would see how this works, 55 yrs old and Im still tryin to slide around.

A 6'8'' 1968 or 69 roundtail old Waveset Morey-Pope HY-1 Gregs first logo, 2nd is a 6'6'' 1971 John Patton / Wayne Lynch double ender with a 12'' power fin foiled by Dirt, 3rd is a new 6'10'' Deathboard template of Dirts.
Same line up but I thru in one of Gregs 7'0'' Stringerless from around 1986 .
Fin evolution , 40 years of refining Displacement Hulls.

Don't do to many with side runners .
They work well on this template, the pulled nose , and 2 plus 1 lets you step back turn and pop the top a bit better .

SB weekend RR

Our SB hideaway , no rangers , no rules, no fees.
Sunday after breakfast got to blow the baffels out and take a cruz out of the harbor with my wife and Kim and Shane.
The Dolphins were out, I was checkin fin templates.
On the way back in , I spotted a boat of epic tales, Flippy Hoffmans old catamaran , man if this boat could talk. Pure and simple, just the basics . Flippys grab handles flappin in the wind, I could almost here him barkin out some orders from the helm.

Ojai 4th of july Parade

Got to ride in the 4th parade in Ojai with the Los Padres Wilderness Outfitters crew.
