The Yater crew from the Mid 70's, L to R, glasser Danny '' Skydog'' Highland , sander John Marks, The Boss R.Yater, shaper, glasser Marc Andreini, and I hotcoated , glossed, boxes and ran the retail, I don't think we have all been together at once in 35 yrs.

Sacred Craft Find

My old Liddle crew buddy, Jeff Musser found this rare Yater kneeboard in SB , I remember working on it , we did so few.

The board was in great shape, so many cool Yaters came out for the show . Jeff and I are still surfing together after 40 yrs.

Renny and Lauren Yater and Andreini were the judge's . All the shapers did an amazing job! the young guys Nick Pallandrini and Todd Proctor really stepped up , it was not easy to do a spoon in 2 hrs. It was really close to call , congrats to Wayne Rich for his win, all the guys won IMO.

James Mahoney's Yater / Kevin Ancell gun in the Art room. Thanks to the Surfing Heritage Foundation for the Rincon surfboard history display and all the people who loaned boards to me for the display.

Dan Alvis found this cherry Yater Spoon almost unused some where , Lauren checkin it out. Also big thanks to Scott Bass and Crew for makin Renny's Tribute happen .

YATER TRIBUTE

Hope everyone can come to Sacred Craft this weekend , the Renny Yater tribute should be very cool.

Yater, always in the right spot. He's on the Graylady here , and it will at the show also. I got in a shitload trouble for riding it when he was in baja onetime , IT WAS WORTH IT!

Myself , Yater and John Shields at the Gray ave. shop in 76, John was doing some computer templates for us. I can't say enough how much this man means to me , come by and pay tribute to a true surfing, shaping legend .
