Mahalo for keeping up the blog KP. Always look forward to new hull goodness. I see fat bastard lurking in the background... What's going on with the fin setup?

I'm trying to dial in a 6'4" BH/BD myself. I've been running a 9" narrow base at the 12.5" mark, with runners lined up with the trailing edge. Curious to hear how others are placing their fins.

    Thanks again!

  2. The Velo Burrito in the back round was the first one made for Steve Hadley , later Steve put those twin fin boxes in to see how it would go with twin keels , not very good . Later I fixed the board up and my son Dustin had it up in SB and dialed in
that finsetup with smaller longboard sidebites. Most guys use the 9'5'' narrow L-Flex a bit back in the box.

    i have a 5'10" Burrito Deluxe(w bites). I started my 10"
GL fin narrow base in the middle of the box and the bites in line with that....too squirrelly... pushed all fins back bit by bit and it just got better and better.
also the plain burrito (non deluxe/ no bites) worked best for me as a single fin using the 10" KP fin (putnam- hilbers/ rainbow hull flex fin tweaked by Kirk. I believe
Steve K. did his custom version of this as well a few years ago.)

How do i get a Greg Liddle surfboard from this joint?

Or, should I go through the Liddle website?

    Thank You

I don't know why I keep giving the paddle fin a try on my hulls? I put the stage 6 in my new stubbie and confirmed that the fin is cursed. Dropping in on the first wave the fin slipped and them unexpectedly grabbed, sending me over the handle bars. I got tangled up with the board underwater and surfaced to find two shallow but long dings on the hull. I should have stuck with the GL fin! Any bondo advice to help get her bottom smooth again?

    Kirk,
Would you consider the Death Board to be the most extreme of Greg's hull designs?

  7. The Jaws board is a bit more exstreme , and the shorter Burrito Velo boards are also.
