Kopps Craiglister

Alex found this on his way back north awhile back on craigslist, a late 70's early 80's Liddle , I think it was this guy Chris Pass who used to order these, also Gene Copper used to ride this type of Hull. Chris Del Moro in 4th gear and flyin.

100 bucks and some bondo and it's ready for some action. I think it's a 6'4''.

Big Al redirecting down the line.

Wow Daddy! that's pushin the limits on a 6'4'' cool turn MR style , Alex finally using those crusty boney feet of his to lay it onrail, it's cool to see these old boards recycled back into the water. Al's film, Displacement is getting close to being done,('' I've heard that before'' ).

LOS TIM"S QUIVER

Tim's Quiver of Vaquero's and Andreini's............ MUCHO BUENO!.

This is an amigo of Tim's, ordered this 12' from Marc, he glued up the redwood stringer from his stash. This looks like my Viejo Amarillo at 12'

I don't get board envy very often but these guy's are killing me as of late. Good to see Marc is not lost a step after his broken back.

#1 VAQUERO

Graham Goodfeild of Los Padraes Outfitters found my original Vaquero board at the used rack at the beachouse. The first one I drew the logo on by hand.

Marc shaped this for me at Yaters 15 plus years ago, it was like a board Ted Spencer had in Innermost Limits.

The new Vaqueros aren't that much different today , maybe foiled a bit better.

I rode the crap out of this for a few years , until Marc made me a balsa version

Glad it's back and a friend has it.

9'0'' LIDDLE DESIGN

9'0'' custom order Super Smoothie, this is like the 8'7'' 's Matt Miller and I have just pushed to 9'0''.

I like these , you can ride um like a longboard , but they still rail turn like a hull

A bit more rocker to fit better and they take off in 3rd gear.

Workin in the garage yesterday, and it just kept calling me to pick it up and put it under my arm.

FILM CLIP PRINTS

On rainy days as of late, I was tryin to figure a way to recycle the door skins Liddle uses for shipping. These are prints from Mike Browns home movies from Malibu 1973 or so, 1 by 1 wood frame and topped with luan door skin, mount, bondo, grind , seal. This ones Krajewski.

Greg , nice turn. These are just 8'' by 10''s

Krajewski again. I got the idea for these from Steve.

Andy {'' adee-doo ''} Davis , cutback, Gregs glasser back then and good friend.

This one is smaller 5'' by 7'' on plywood, found my wood burner for some flair.

LIDDLE BURRITO DELUXE

Hadley on the Rail.

5'10'' Burrito Deluxe, this one came together really nice .

Just a bit more pulled at the tail than Velo, and the side runners .

Hadley's first test drive , said it goes great .

I like the way it sits in the water on this one.

Don't have to move much to find the sweet spot.

BATES RANCH RIDE

Los Padres Outfitters got called for a ride on sat. We thought it was a bad call , but they said rain or shine. L to R ,Dave Mills , myself '' lowman on the totempole'', Matt Miller and Kirk Sr. and Roman waitin for a break in the rain. It got way worse 1/4 to 1/2 inch hail and rain and we had to call it quits .

Saddled up and ready to ride.

I had to help take some firewood up to the Palapa, no better view, even on a rainy day.

This house was built in 1928 , the adobe bricks were made right down the road, and is still in the Bates family to this day. You can rent this place for weddings and events, i have the info. kirkripper@yahoo.com What a place to get hitched , it looks right over the whole point and the islands.

These tiles are at every door in the house , the window sill tiles were OG Malibu tiles from the Coral beach factory from that era .
