GRANDE BURRITO DOS

Warmjets new 7'9'' Grande Burrito

This is the Velo template pulled out to 7'9''.

3'' thick then very foiled out .

Im MY, opinion Greg's boards have alot more to do with Bob Simmons basic ideas than what most people realize , kinda a missing piece of the Simmons / Malibu puzzle.

7'9'' n. 19'' w. 23'' t. 18'' are the dims after glassing.

S- Decked

One fin for Warmjet , Jdub has a 2 + 1 on the first GB.

The header shot is Kyle Albers on the first Liddle GB . photo Jdub

i find it humorous that people out there claim they make a mini simmons, when the only similarity they have to a simmons is temlplate and two fins.the rails are wrong, the foil and decks aren't anythink like a simmons at all. greg's boards are the closest thing to a simmons that isn't an exact copy of a simmons-but certainly a continuation refinement of what simmons was doing.

Uh Oh. Here comes the back and forth......
In KP's defense , I believe he was not so much speaking of outlines but just Greg as an ignored part of the equation.

To ignore Greg in the genealogy is a mistake.

    Am I right sir Putnam?

did you even read what i said? props are given to greg for continuing along the lines of simmons. his boards -their foil, rail, deck, etc. are very much what simmons were like. all those out there making so called mini simmons aren't close-it's just they have a simmons type template and two fins. all the guts of a simmons are non-existent in those boards, but not in greg's. as for templates, it doesn't matter what template a liddle is because the guts of them are the same-rocker,bottom, rail, foil, deck, etc. and if you set any liddle hull next to a simmons you will see the similarities/geneology. won't see that in other boards.

  6. Just to be an insufferable prick; shouldn't it be Burrito Grande?

Hey KP, I have a liddle PG model. (additional V in the tail) Beautiful fast board. Currently I fin it with a GL Wide Base 9 flex. Do you think there is a better choice? Maybe PG's design itself? Board is surfing San Diego--Some point but just as much reef.

  9. Maybe a L- flex 9.5 narrow base , PG's fin will work ,less area and a bit more of a pivot fin .

in my original pg v i use a true ames greenough 9.75. i think it's the 4a-anyway, it's the one with wide base like in gg's velo kneeboard. stay with a wide base fin. maybe go to a liddle 9.5 wide base fin. that's what i'd do.-

Very nice, gentlemen. I'm going to 9.5 narrow on the next round. Sweet!

  12. Hi from Spain, the correct way should be either "Gran Burrito" or "Burrito Grande" but the wrong grandE Burrito, even being incorrect sound the coolest to me as it is evident it has been said the So Cal "wrong way" and that makes it cooler. ;) Have a nice day.

or you could just call it the burro, which means donkey, and burrito means little donkey. this board obviously inst sub seven, so burrito grande would be somewhat contradictory. i live in costa rica
